• Statement about this body of work •
Living organisms feed on the energy of dead/dying/decaying matter. An example of this is a mushroom (which is often grown using manure).
To give these pieces 'life', I used 'dead' wooden objects found in a trash pile, photographing them and digitally imposing an altered image of each wooden object on the front of each of the fabric-covered 'mushrooms', which then 'grew' on each wooden object. Life-Death-Life (Recycling)
